1) There were passages describing what was nessecary to do in order to vote back. There was a link showing the test "colored" people had to take and that no matter what the official woud decide if you were to pass or fail.

2)It was showing how hard it was to register to vote if you weren't white.

3)I learned the disadvantages people had back then if they weren't white when they wanted to vote.
